Earth’s light bulb

Article header_simple

It looks like a light bulb. No filters were used. Sunspots were matched with other observatories data and they were: 1879, 1877, and 1875.

This image was taken on Oct – 23 – 2013 Sunset. The weather was very thick, and moist level was high. The mountain location in which the image was taken was around 2600 ft (~792 meters) about sea level, so the thick blanket was covering the city and the distance mountains. The mist worked as a filter, which made the Sun look dimmer, and more redder once it approaches the horizon, which makes it easier to observe the Sunspots, aside from the fact that the spot were in a considerable size at that day.

There was a hint of green rim and green flashes, but not big enough (or stayed long enough) to be capture with the camera.
